Rosemary Jane Avery
Professor and Chairman
Cornell University
Rosemary is a renowned leader in the field of adoption research. She has active research programs in family and consumer policy in a variety of systems. Her work in family policy focuses on the New York State child welfare system, particularly the foster care experiences of children relinquished for adoption, state adoption recruitment efforts, and permanency for adolescents exiting foster care.
Steve Cohen
General Manager
Brooklyn Cyclones
Steve has been the Cyclones’ General Manager since the team’s inception in 2000 and played an integral part in the team’s transition from Queens to Brooklyn. Prior to that, Steve worked as the Assistant General Manager of the St. Petersburg Devil Rays of the Florida State League and General Manager of the St. Petersburg Cardinals. Among many awards, most recently he was honored in 2009 as the Mets’ Sterling Minor League Executive of the Year.

Ken is a veteran journalist and media relations strategist. He was previously Executive VP at Golin Harris, a division of The Interpublic Group. He has provided marketing and media communications services to clients including Cushman & Wakefield, AOL, M&M/Mars, American Airlines, Special Olympics, Toyota, Nintendo, Visa, Vivendi Universal, L’Oreal, Prevacid, Owens Corning and The Body Shop.
